1. Introduction
Welcome to Youth Education Center (YEC). These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and enrollment in our professional training courses. By accessing our website or enrolling in any course, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
YEC is a registered educational institution providing professional training in IT Support, Office Management, Programming, Marketing, and Development courses in Bangladesh.
2. Course Information
YEC offers the following professional training courses:
IT Support Course
Office Management Course
Basic Programming (Python)
AI and Marketing
Mobile App Development
Web Development
3. Enrollment Terms
3.1 Registration Process
- All enrollments must be completed through our official website or in-person at our office
- Students must provide accurate personal information during registration
- Registration is confirmed only after payment of the registration fee
- Class size is limited to maximum 20 students per course
- YEC reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses due to insufficient enrollment
3.2 Payment Terms
- Registration fees must be paid in full before course commencement
- Payment can be made in cash, bank transfer, or mobile banking
- All fees are non-refundable except in cases of course cancellation by YEC
- Students are responsible for any additional costs such as textbooks or software licenses
- YEC reserves the right to change course fees with 30 days' notice
3.3 Prerequisites
- Basic computer literacy for all courses
- High school education or equivalent
- Good English communication skills
- Laptop with required software (for certain courses)
- Internet connection for online components
4. Course Conduct and Attendance
4.1 Attendance Requirements
- Students must maintain minimum 80% attendance to be eligible for certification
- Excessive absences may result in course termination without refund
- Students are responsible for catching up on missed material
- Make-up sessions may be available at YEC's discretion
4.2 Code of Conduct
- Students must maintain professional behavior during classes
- Respect for instructors, staff, and fellow students is mandatory
- Use of mobile phones during class time is prohibited
- Academic dishonesty, including plagiarism, will result in immediate dismissal
- YEC reserves the right to dismiss students for disruptive behavior
4.3 Course Materials
- Course materials are provided for educational purposes only
- Students may not distribute or reproduce course materials without permission
- Intellectual property rights remain with YEC and course instructors
- Students must return all borrowed equipment and materials
5. Certification and Assessment
5.1 Certification Requirements
- Students must complete all course modules and assignments
- Minimum 80% attendance is required
- Passing grade of 70% in final assessment
- Completion of practical projects and assignments
- Payment of all course fees
5.2 Certificate Types
- Government Approved Certificate:Office Management
- YEC-IT Approved Certificate:IT Support, Basic Programming (Python), AI and Marketing, Mobile App Development, Web Development
5.3 Certificate Issuance
- Certificates are issued within 30 days of course completion
- Replacement certificates may be issued for a fee of ৳500
- Certificates are non-transferable and remain property of YEC
- YEC reserves the right to revoke certificates for academic misconduct
6. Refund and Cancellation Policy
6.1 Course Cancellation by YEC
- Full refund if course is cancelled before commencement
- Proportional refund if course is cancelled after commencement
- Refunds processed within 15 business days
- No additional compensation for travel or accommodation costs
6.2 Student Withdrawal
- No refund for student-initiated withdrawals
- Students may transfer to a future course batch (subject to availability)
- Transfer requests must be made at least 7 days before course commencement
- Additional fees may apply for course transfers
6.3 Special Circumstances
- Medical emergencies may be considered for partial refunds
- Documentation required for special circumstances
- YEC's decision on special cases is final
7. Privacy and Data Protection
7.1 Personal Information
- YEC collects personal information for educational and administrative purposes
- Information is used for course enrollment, certification, and communication
- Student data is protected according to Bangladesh data protection laws
- YEC does not sell or share personal information with third parties
7.2 Communication
- YEC may contact students via phone, email, or SMS for course-related matters
- Students can opt out of promotional communications
- Important course updates will be sent regardless of opt-out status
8. Intellectual Property Rights
- All course materials, including lectures, notes, and software, are protected by copyright
- Students may not record, reproduce, or distribute course content without permission
- Projects and assignments created by students remain their intellectual property
- YEC may use student work for promotional purposes with written consent
- Violation of intellectual property rights may result in legal action
9. Limitation of Liability
- YEC provides education and training services as described
- YEC does not guarantee employment or specific career outcomes
- Students are responsible for their own career development and job search
- YEC's liability is limited to the amount paid for the course
- YEC is not responsible for third-party services or external factors
10. Force Majeure
YEC shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, or other unforeseeable events.
- Courses may be postponed or moved online during force majeure events
- Students will be notified of changes as soon as possible
- No refunds will be provided for force majeure-related changes
- YEC will make reasonable efforts to resume normal operations
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1 Grievance Procedure
- Students should first discuss concerns with their course instructor
- Formal complaints should be submitted in writing to YEC management
- YEC will respond to complaints within 7 business days
- All complaints are handled confidentially and professionally
11.2 Legal Jurisdiction
- These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh
- Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Chattogram, Bangladesh
- Students agree to submit to the jurisdiction of Bangladeshi courts
12. Amendments to Terms
- YEC reserves the right to modify these terms at any time
- Students will be notified of significant changes via email or website notice
- Continued enrollment constitutes acceptance of modified terms
- Students may withdraw if they disagree with changes
